Cancore raises $7.2 million to expand Canton’s access to public blockchain liquidity

The seed funding will support more network connections, trading and automation. Cancore is also developing a 0-TVL bridge, while access to dedicated trading bots remains staged.

Cancore has closed a $7.2 million seed round to expand trading between Canton and public blockchains, according to its funding announcement.

The company plans to use the money to connect more networks and liquidity sources, add Canton-native assets and build out automated trading. It is also developing a “0-TVL” bridge design intended to avoid the need for capital to sit in traditional bridge pools.

The funding supports a broader ambition: combining trading, settlement, liquidity routing and automated investing in one platform. Cancore calls that a “Liquidity OS for Tokenized Finance.”

Who backed the round?

Paper Ventures, dao5, ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures and Proof of Talk participated, The Block reported, citing co-founder and CEO Wasif Rashid. There was no formal lead investor; Paper Ventures and dao5 took the largest allocations.

Rashid told the publication that the financing used simple agreements for future tokens, or SAFTs, for Cancore’s planned CNRX token, at a $60 million fully diluted token valuation. That figure relates to the planned token, rather than an equity valuation of the company. He said the round closed in mid-September.

Connecting Canton with public-chain liquidity

Cancore’s starting point is a practical gap: assets on Canton and liquidity on other blockchains need a way to trade with each other.

Its settlement documentation describes a process in which both parties lock assets under the same cryptographic condition. Completing one side allows the other party to claim its assets. If the trade expires without completion, the parties can reclaim their funds under the contracts’ timeout rules.

The assets remain on their own networks. The exchange changes who owns them, rather than creating wrapped versions to move between chains.

Cancore says it has operated on MainNet since April 2026. That predates its public opening in May. It later added a USDCx–USDC route between Canton and Ethereum, giving the platform a direct stablecoin pairing across the two networks.

The company’s announcement lists connections to Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain and TRON. Solana is a planned addition.

Trading and automation are already part of the platform

Cancore says its current product combines trading, a self-custody wallet, liquidity pools, automated investing and routing across available order books and pools. Developer tools include an SDK and an MCP connection for AI assistants.

Those automation tools offer different levels of control. With the AI-assisted trading route introduced in September, an assistant prepares a request and the owner reviews and signs it in their wallet.

Dedicated bot accounts followed in October. Each has its own key and balance, allowing software to trade with the funds assigned to that account. The owner’s main balance remains separate.

Access still matters. Cancore’s developer guide says the bot-account section is limited to internal roles, while its user guide describes a staged rollout. The platform’s website also carries a beta notice. Announcing live functionality does not mean every account has access to every feature.

What the funding will build next

The next phase centres on more connections, more assets and more automation. Cancore says the round will fund engineering expansion, deeper liquidity routing, additional real-world asset markets, security work and audits.

Its proposed 0-TVL bridge is a separate development project. TVL means total value locked. The stated aim is to move liquidity across networks without maintaining the capital pools used by traditional bridges. The announcement does not present that architecture as already deployed.

Cancore says cross-network trading, its wallet, investing and agent tools are current products, with staged bot access. Its 0-TVL bridge, Solana connection and broader asset and automation support are development plans.Current products and development plans, as described in Cancore’s funding announcement. Bot access remains staged under its public guide. Plans are not deployment announcements.

“The next challenge is making that capital liquid, programmable and usable across markets,” Rashid said in the announcement, describing the work beyond putting financial assets on-chain.

The round follows investment at the underlying infrastructure layer. Digital Asset, Canton’s creator, announced a $355 million funding round led by a16z crypto in June. Cancore’s financing goes to an application connecting that environment with other markets.

For Cancore, the next developments to watch are the additional network connections, the assets available to trade and wider access to its automation tools. The 0-TVL design remains a further milestone to deliver.
