Cancore brings AI-assisted trading to Canton

Cancore MCP lets users turn a plain-language request into a proposed trade. The wallet supplies the live quote, and the user reviews and signs before any funds move.

Cancore has launched AI-assisted trading, allowing users to request a trade in everyday language while keeping approval in their own wallet.

The new connection works with Claude and other compatible AI tools. A user can ask to exchange a set amount of Canton Coin for CBTC, for example. The assistant turns that instruction into a request, which appears in the user's Cancore wallet.

The wallet then displays the assets, amount and current exchange rate. The user can approve the request, change it or decline it. A trade only goes ahead after the user signs, and the rate is checked again at approval. If it moves beyond the permitted limit, the trade stops and a new approval is needed.

Cancore's guide to the feature explains how control is divided. The AI assistant can propose an action and check its outcome, but it cannot sign transactions or access the user's private key. The live price comes from the wallet, rather than an estimate supplied by the assistant.

The connection uses MCP, a standard that lets AI assistants interact with outside tools. Cancore's documentation also includes requests for transfers and cross-chain orders, with the owner reviewing the details in the wallet. Pending requests expire after 15 minutes, and access can be revoked from the wallet's settings.
