Upflam is preparing a deposit pool designed to make the connection between a payment’s sender and recipient harder to trace on Canton.
The project has opened an invitation to participate in the pool’s cryptographic key ceremony, a setup step for the proof system it plans to use. The pool is described as launching soon, with a launch date still to be announced.
The work focuses on information that can reveal relationships between accounts. Canton Coin transaction data is available through the network’s Scan API, and other visible transaction metadata can indicate that two parties have interacted.
Upflam’s proposed pool is intended to break that direct connection using a proof system called Groth16. It forms part of the team’s work on privacy-focused payment infrastructure.
