1exchange has been approved as a validator on Canton as it develops its infrastructure for tokenized real-world assets.

The Singapore-based exchange plans to use Canton’s privacy-preserving and interoperable infrastructure for the future tokenization, listing and trading of real-world assets.

1exchange operates as a Recognised Market Operator regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Its platform provides a regulated marketplace for the tokenization, listing and secondary trading of real-world assets.

Canton’s selective-disclosure model allows transaction information to be shared with relevant and authorised parties without making the same information visible to every participant on the network.

According to the announcement, the planned integration is intended to help issuers protect commercially sensitive information. This may include investor identities, ownership records and transaction data associated with a tokenized asset.

1exchange also aims to use Canton’s compliance controls within its tokenization process. The company specifically identified transfer restrictions and investor-eligibility requirements as areas it plans to support.
