ANDRA launched its institutional tokenization platform on October 5, with Canton Network as its underlying blockchain.
The platform is designed for tokenization directed by an ETF issuer, within the fund's existing transfer-agent relationship. It connects onchain activity with the official ownership records maintained by the transfer agent, while working alongside the ETF's settlement, custody and service providers.
Digital wallets and programmable transfers form the new onchain layer. ANDRA's platform overview sets out how tokenized shares are reconciled with the fund's register, rather than replacing the parties that already create, hold and administer ETF shares.
ANDRA has also formed an ETF industry working group. Its agenda covers coordination between issuers, authorized participants, market makers, administrators and other providers, along with settlement, compliance and potential pilot programs. The announcement does not identify a pilot that has begun.
The launch follows its subsidiary's September 4 registration as a US transfer agent. That registration is not SEC approval or endorsement of the platform or any ETF.
ANDRA's website continues to offer early access. The launch announcement names no live tokenized ETF, client or trading volume.
The official launch release explains the platform and working group's scope.
