Digital Asset has secured an additional $10 million in investment from South Korea's Shinhan Financial Group and Standard Chartered's SC Ventures, bringing the total size of its ongoing funding round from $355 million to $365 million, according to a report by The Block. The investment was made at the same $2 billion valuation as the original round.

The extension follows Digital Asset's announcement last month of a $355 million raise led by a16z Crypto, with participation from ABN Amro, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Apollo Funds, BNP Paribas, Citadel Securities, CME Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Hanwha Investment and Securities, HSBC, S&P Global, and SBI Group, among others.

"With Shinhan Financial Group and Standard Chartered joining the investor list, global access, market expertise, and ecosystem connectivity have been added at a critical time for Digital Asset and Canton," said Yuval Rooz, co-founder and CEO of Digital Asset. "The participation of these firms reaffirms the need for infrastructure that enables regulated financial institutions to operate on a shared network without compromising privacy, compliance, or control."

Shinhan Financial Group's participation extends a relationship with Canton Network that began earlier this year, when Shinhan Asset Management and Shinhan Investment and Securities each signed memoranda of understanding with the Canton Foundation to explore bringing Korean tokenized financial products to global investors.

Digital Asset develops the Canton Network, a public Layer 1 blockchain built for regulated financial institutions, enabling institutions to move assets, applications, and financial workflows on-chain while maintaining the privacy and compliance controls that regulated markets require.
