Ekiden has passed $5 million in trading volume on Canton, reaching $5,865,560 across its MainNet exchange. Access remains invite-only. (Access codes are available here: cantonnews.org/canton-access)
The figure is cumulative, adding up completed trading activity over time. It measures the value traded, rather than the amount of money deposited on the platform.
Ekiden’s MainNet rollout began with controlled access for the top 100 traders on its testnet leaderboard. Further participants were to be admitted in waves, and the latest volume update confirms that trading is still taking place within that closed phase.
The exchange has also expanded into commodities. Gold and silver markets went live on October 1, trading as XAU/USDCx and XAG/USDCx. Each has its own risk settings and trading schedule.
Those markets open on Sunday evening and close on Friday afternoon, New York time, with a daily break during the week. They give participants access to two additional markets alongside Ekiden’s existing digital asset trading.
Gold and silver trading earns a 2× XP multiplier during the closed MainNet phase. More metals, commodities, stocks and tokenized assets are planned, although dates for those additions have not been announced.
