Zenith is a Tier 1 Super Validator on Canton, combining a role in the network’s infrastructure and governance with its work to bring Ethereum applications to the ecosystem.
Super Validators help operate the Global Synchronizer, the shared infrastructure that connects applications across Canton. They also vote on network proposals and protocol changes, giving Zenith a direct role in decisions about the network it is building on.
Zenith’s participation was approved under CIP-0091. The approved proposal provides for a potential reward weight of 10, tied to development and adoption milestones. Those targets cover working technology, institutional deployments, Canton Coin usage and asset issuance.
The team also participates in Canton’s development governance. Head of Product Norbert Vadas was elected to the Canton Development Fund Core Contributors Group, while co-founder Heslin Kim joined its Voting Committee. These appointments add to Zenith’s representation across four Canton Foundation committees.
Alongside that work, Zenith is building an Ethereum-compatible environment for Canton. Developers can use familiar tools, including MetaMask, while preparing applications for the network through Zenith’s testnet.
A completed test-network demonstration showed a Canton-native asset being exchanged with an asset on Zenith EVM. At settlement, the Canton transfer and the corresponding payout on Zenith complete together, or neither completes.
Zenith is targeting the fourth quarter for MainNet and has opened a waitlist. Support for Solana applications remains on the roadmap, with Zenith SVM listed as coming soon.
