Canton 3.5.18 is available, with maintenance fixes and a security update for node operators. It was released on September 17.
The changes help nodes catch up with activity, including shorter waits before retrying missing data and improvements to how that data is processed.
A separate fix corrects misleading security warnings. Connections mistakenly pointing back to the same node are now identified as configuration errors and closed, rather than repeatedly retried.
The update also reduces duplicate network-configuration data stored after synchronizer upgrades. Synchronizers coordinate transactions between participating nodes, allowing applications to work together while each participant keeps its own relevant records.
A software health-check component receives a security fix through the updated container image. The release continues to support protocol versions 34 and 35, with installation files available in the release notes.
