Kora has opened gold and silver trading against USDCx on Canton, adding eXAU/USDCx and eXAG/USDCx to its markets.
The pairs bring Ember Gold and Ember Silver together with USDCx on Kora's orderbook, where buy and sell orders are matched. Users can trade the two precious-metal tokens privately onchain.
The assets represent physical bullion. Each eXAU token is backed by one troy ounce of gold, while each eXAG token is backed by one troy ounce of silver. The asset documentation identifies Ember Protocol Inc. as the issuer and describes the metal as held on an allocated basis in professional vaults.
Their prices move with the underlying metals. Holding the tokens does not itself pay interest or generate a yield.
The September 17 listings follow a separate change to account funding. Kora's Ethereum funding route, announced a day earlier, lets users move USDC directly from Ethereum into their Kora account through its USDCx bridge.
Kora also introduced a CC/USDCx market on September 16. With the latest additions, users have USDCx trading pairs for Canton Coin, gold and silver on the same platform.
