Swap Monster has announced a partnership with Edel focused on listing EDELx on Canton. The September 18 announcement identifies EDELx as the Canton-side token in Edel's wider ecosystem, intended for Canton-native products and institutional market activity.
The partnership builds on earlier trading availability. BitSafe's August 28 CBTC listing included CBTC/EDELx among four supported markets on Swap Monster, giving the venue an existing market involving Edel's token.
Swap Monster lets traders request prices directly from selected counterparties. A user chooses an asset pair and an amount, receives competing quotes, then decides whether to accept a trade. Orders do not need to appear on a public order book, and trade details remain visible to the participants involved.
The venue serves validators, funds, protocols and asset issuers. Its trading model keeps custody with the participants, with both sides of an accepted trade settling together on Canton. This means the two asset transfers complete as one transaction.
Node operators can connect through Canton's Wallet Gateway using their existing validator and signing provider. They can access the venue without having to build a custom connection to it.
